A Taste of Bangkit Academy
This post is meant to introduce you to Bangkit Academy, one of the collaboration programs between partners and the Indonesian government in their relatively new program called "Kampus Merdeka", so what exactly is Bangkit you might add. Simply said Bangkit is a course with 3 specializations (Android development, cloud computing, and machine learning) focusing on tech skills to prepare yourself for careers in the tech industry.
Why should you take it?
Modern curriculum catered for a highly demanding tech job, competent instructors and coaches, a taste of end-to-end software development, a (slight) chance to be chosen as a team to be funded or hired for an opportunity to develop their product, and professional Google certification relevant to their learning path.
Which learning path should I take?
Simply said there is no recommendation, choose one that would suit you best:
- Android Development
For those who like programming in general and strive to be a developer who develops a native Android application, building a full-stack Android app. - Cloud Computing
For people who like web programming, being a sysadmin, scripting, DevOps, IT Infrastructure and cloud engineering. Tightly intertwined between operations and development. - Machine Learning
For people that love learning about AI, math, and statistics in general. Developing artificial intelligence model using TensorFlow and general data wrangling.
A Peek as a Cloud Computing Student in Bangkit
discusses the utilization of the cloud, in essence, there is a server that can be accessed by the internet which is divided into two large parts private and public, specifically in this program, cloud computing students are expected to be able to use Google's cloud platform, namely GCP or Google Cloud Platform, as well as understand the technical matters that need to be known for
use cloud platforms effectively. Looking at the projects that have been carried out, this is related to infrastructure and architecture planning, which is carried out during the pre-working stage project. Integrating services at the work stage, and ultimately getting a fully working application at the post-working stage.
The Agendas
consists of four broad categories, with three of the four activities in question mandatory and one category of non-mandatory activities.
- Self-paced Courses: Consists of courses taken from three providers (Dicoding, Coursera and Qwiklabs), each course has its own material need to be studied by students with a predetermined deadline.
- Technical and Soft-Skill Instructor Led Training / ILT: This is training that worked as an introduction to a self-paced course (for ILT Tech) and as a training courses for soft-skills (including English), led by an instructor who has experience in the and has a task at the end of each ILT.
- Capstone Project: A final project in which each participant uses
